A.W. Allen & Son was created by my great grandfather Arthur Weston Allen in 1889 in Sudborough, Northamptonshire. My grandfather Henry William Allen took over the business and expanded the business adding livestock transport, moving livestock for farmers and livestock markets. The transport company was sold before in 1954 taking over a farm tenancy in Islip, Northamptonshire. My Father David Arthur Allen took over the business and expanded it to 1000 acres with arable and livestock also doing contract work for other farms.
I Graham David Allen took over the family business after four years at college studying agriculture and building maintenance. We started doing fencing and paddock maintenance for people to supplement the farm income. Then moving it on to the service we offer today. In 2006 we relinquished the farm tenancy and moved to Brittany France. Where we are continuing to provide the service we have always offered to people to help the maintain the home and garden. A.W. Allen & Son is a family business which is proud to provide this service for you.
